The 4/4 Breath for Energy

Energize your being with this meditation

Greetings!

Feel tired? sluggish? unmotivated?

Try this simple meditation to clear your mind and get your energy flowing.

First, find a comfortable seated position. Bring your palms together in the prayer position, relax your shoulders, straighten your spine, and take a few deep breaths.

  • Close your eyes and focus on your third eye at the brow point

  • Inhale breaking up the breath in four sniffs, filling the lungs on the last sniff

  • Exhale breaking up the breath in four sniffs, emptying the lungs on the last sniff

  • Continue for 2-3 minutes

  • End with a deep inhale, hold the breath in, press the palms together with force for 10-15 seconds, and exhale (repeat twice)

  • Relax your hands in your lap or on your knees and take some long, deep breaths

Additional tools:

  • Add the mantra SA (the infinite), TA (life), NA (death), MA (rebirth) as a mental vibration with every sniff in and out

    • This helps concentrate and clear the mind

  • Pump the navel point inwards with every sniff in and out

    • This generates more energy
